The common color of colored quartz tube is divided into: red quartz tube, yellow quartz tube, blue quartz tube and gray quartz tube.
Red quartz tube is added with several trace elements to cut off all ultraviolet and part of visible light and make full use of infrared. It has three colors: pink, wine red and dark red. The products have the characteristics of infrared radiation, fast heating, soft luminescence, energy conservation and environmental protection. How To Distinguish Real And Fake Colored Quartz Tubes(see pic at down left)
The bad seller usually chooses the glass tube made of high borosilicate to replace the colored quartz tube and sell it to the buyer. Such behavior is very irresponsible. How do we judge whether the colored quartz tube is real? First of all, from the color difference, the real colored quartz tubes on the market are basically inventory materials, so the color type is very limited. If the colors you see are all kinds of colors you have never seen before, you can basically judge that this material is not colored quartz glass. Second, using oxyhydrogen flame to burn it. Non quartz glass will immediately fade to be transparent and melt when encountering flame (see video at below).
