Quartz beaker is made of fused quartz glass. It is a kind of lab glassware produced out and mainly for higher temperature. The temperature it bears is higher than that of ordinary borosilicate glass beaker. Even working at 1200°C for a long time will not soften (quartz melting point 1730 °C). The working temperature in short time can be up to about 1400°C. The ordinary high borosilicate glass beaker can only work at around 500°C for not softening.
A quartz beaker is the same as the ordinary glass beaker, and it is suitable for various laboratory experiments. But in the high heat experiment, the quartz beaker is the first choice of the preferred quartz utensils.
