It has very low coefficient of expansion, very low thermal conductivity, very good electrical insulation, especially good temperature resistance used under maximum temperature 1450°C. So it can be used in a single crystal furnace filled the melting polycrystalline silicon liquid. It can also be used for heating and containing acidic liquids in various laboratories. But the current manufacturing method is difficult to produce out large diameter clear quartz crucibles. So referring to another quartz crucibles named opaque/milky quartz silica crucibles.
