As we know, making quartz balls is from the beginning of cutting quartz rods to short. Then we use a specific mould to grind quartz beads to round shape. So we directly grind beads(short quartz rods) to right tolerance balls? No. We pick the right size through sieve.We have many different round holes sieves. They have different diameter of holes. For example, if you want to get the balls with diameter 3mm. We use 2.8mm holes of sieve and 3.2mm holes of sieve. In the last, we will get quartz balls with tolerance ±0.2mm. however someone should have doubt that if we can have an accurate size like no tolerance? I have to say “no”. For our all quartz glass products must have dimension or size difference. You can make it smaller, but you can let the tolerance disappear.
